Davidson Entry Feature :: Community Landscape Design
Entry into the town of Davidson was previously unannounced. The addition of two new traffic circles offered an opportunity for some type of welcome into the town. JBLA was asked to design an entry feature. Now, visitors are welcomed to Davidson with a simple stone wall, constructed of stone as a symbol of stability and the century-old history of town and college, formed as a spiral, symbolizing the journey to the center of knowledge. Trees and ornamental grasses surround the wall to soften the structure. The stone will age beautifully, slowly and gracefully, as the town of Davidson has through the years.
